I collaborate with clients around the goals they have for therapy. Attachment needs, core beliefs, assertiveness training, communication strategies, emotional awareness and regulation, and coping skills are commonly addressed. Unresolved grief and trauma, chronic pain, and somatic responses are attended to.
I typically explore clients' individual and relational identities in order to clarify where this intersects with their age, culture, race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, religion, and relationships with their own selves and with others. At times, I utilize creativity, mindfulness, experiential, and meditation techniques.
Instead of specializing in a population defined by a specific age group or issue, my specialty is in developing an authentic and reflective relationship with clients that helps inspire in them a new personal vision to transform challenges into a meaningful creative process in the interest of decreasing suffering and increasing personal agency, forward movement, and self-acceptance.
