About me:
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA and a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA. I have been practicing since 1999 and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2010. (LF60228675)
My approach is eclectic and I draw from Humanistic Theory, as well as Experiential, Jungian, Psychodynamic, Object Relations, Communications, Cognitive Behavioral, Systems, Trauma-Informed, Feminist, and Attachment Theories. I utilize some of Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman's Theories in my work with partners and families. I am currently learning more about Internal Family Systems Theory.
What I have learned in practice, in school, and in life has enhanced my belief in resiliency, deepened my curiosity and understanding, and equipped me to offer therapeutic assistance to others. Each day I spend engaging with clients further convinces me that being a therapist is truly my passion. I am deeply grateful that what I most enjoy doing is also my career. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and facilitate growth through integrity and authentic interaction with others.
